    Overall a pretty good article.

    I would disagree with one point. Unless I misconstrued the advice about eating raw vegetables. I don't recommend consuming raw vegetables. In my view, there are way too many pathogens, from harvest to handling, which may be present on those vegetables.

    Yes, washing the vegetables certainly is helpful, but there still could be some pathogens remaining. Of course our bodies are not totally helpless. Over millions of years thru evolution, we have developed defenses against these pathogens. However in this day and age of mass food production, new pathogens can occur at any time which could wreak havoc on our bodies.

    So I believe it is best to cook all vegetables before consumption. Yes, some nutrients are going to be lost during cooking. But to me, it's worth it to know that I'm eating a safe food.
