Rather than having the illegitimate seller prove that their item belongs on that particular reverse auction webpage, it is up to a legitimate seller on the webpage, to make a purchase of product from the illegitimate seller, and then provide all the info to Amazon. All that time and expense, and Amazon rarely takes action anyway...again, unless customers complain about the illegitimate seller. Amazon will take appropriate offensive action in favor of some big, name brand products as the article mentioned. But other than that, Amazon is like the "wild west" of commerce, and getting wilder by the day. There is some good advice out there about selling on Amazon. Do not base your entire livelihood by solely selling on Amazon. Very risky indeed. A business model for winding up dead broke, and standing in the welfare line or living in a homeless shelter.
