May not have even been a phone from the bunker. The "story" behind items such as this often get embellished or fabricated by the owner who wishes to achieve maximum profit. My opinion based on the article is that there is no way it is possible to prove that this was Hitler's phone from the bunker. You'd have to be a fool to bid this high on an item that really cannot possibly be verified. There is so much fraud in the world of memorabilia.
