Biden skewered for ‘ridiculous tall tale’ about giving uncle a ‘Purple Heart’: ‘Biggest serial liar elected'

Conservatives on Twitter blasted President Joe Biden for telling another "ridiculous tall tale" about himself in a speech, claiming that his uncle won a Purple Heart for his actions during World War II.

Critics slammed the claim, asserting there is no evidence it is true.

Biden made the remarks during a town hall for U.S. veterans in Delaware on Friday. At one point during his speech, the president stated, "My dad, when I got elected vice president [in 2008], he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge, but he said, ‘and he won the Purple Heart and he never received it. He never got it. Do you think you could help him get it? We will surprise him.’"

This was another big mistake that Trump made during the 2020 campaign. Trump gave Biden the nickname of "Sleepy Joe" but unfortunately it had the opposite effect. Anytime that Biden showed some semblance of awareness, such as in the debates when he was likely drugged-up to keep him awake, but he did do a somewhat competent job, it then lessened the credibility of Trump's nickname towards Biden.

Trump nicknamed Hillary Clinton "Crooked Hillary" which was perfect and she had to stay on defense about that throughout the 2016 campaign. You always want the opposing political candidate to be on defense, not on offense.

Trump should have nicknamed Biden "Lyin' Joe" because Biden is such a lifetime pathological liar, and then Biden would have had to be on defense to constantly try to talk his way out of the nickname. Biden wouldn't be able to successfully do it, because it's all on video.

My guess is Trump may have thought of this, but he had already done that to Ted Cruz in the 2016 Republican Party primary. Calling him "Lyin' Ted", so i guess Trump didn't want to repeat the Lyin' word for someone else.

The bottom line is for whatever reason, I don't recall Trump nearly attacking Biden for his numerous past lies the way it should have been done. However i think that DeSantis will attack Biden mercilessly about his constant lying, keeping Joe on defense, and then Ron handily wins the election.
