DeSantis may be the best political candidate and potentially great president that we've had since Ronald Reagan. It's tough to say goodbye to Donald Trump, but we can't negate the fact that he lost in 2020 regardless of the circumstances which weren't his fault. Plus the fact that Trump will be 78 years old on election day 2024. While DeSantis will be 46. The 2024 Republican Party primary shouldn't be about Donald Trump. It's about nominating the candidate who gives our side the best chance to win, who would also do a terrific job of governing. Unless DeSantis falters in the 2024 Republican Party debates, which I can't fathom that happening, right now he's got my vote.
I'm sick and tired of the left always saying that DeSantis has no charisma, can't lead the rest of the country, can't do this, can't do that, etc. This guy impresses me more and more every time I hear him speak. They also say, including some Republicans who prefer Trump, that DeSantis is another Jeb Bush. No freakin' way. Jeb seemed to get worse with each of his lethargic speeches. While DeSantis consistently brings smart, common sense, pro-America ideas to the table...and with a nice controlled enthusiasm.
This is madness on an unprecedented scale. Do Democrats and their far left base realize that they also fly on these planes with inferior pilots. There badly needs to be laws passed to reverse this insanity of "equity" when it comes to public health and safety. Airlines and others must be forced to hire on the basis of talent, not appearance. It's sad that in today's woke climate, that laws need to be passed to dictate common sense.
